I'm from a village (reaching six thousand souls soon) south of Como, Northern Italy. I live 15 km from the lake and the border with Switzerland. My village is famous for...er....nothing actually, but has the largest bees' museum in Europe, second largest in the World. Never seen it, anyway.

I dread to think how on earth you can fill a museum with Bee stuff! Hives, honeycombs, dead bees, a few jars of honey in the gift shop and your out!

Today I looked for some other facts about my village. A war prisoner escaped killed three women in 1940-1941, just few meters from my house, and till 1993 there were two mafia bosses living here (Northern Italy, not South). One was arrested in 1992, the other was nearly killed in 1993, in a shooting in a bar which cost the life to a policeman.
