Owdoo all, Just joined the forum today; you'll have to excuse me as I'm from Tamworth................ It's allegedly got one of the highest incest rates in the whole world. My wife does bare an uncanny resemblance to my cousin Frank.

Hi, joined a few days ago. I live in Kent. My Village used to have a pit {see, we're not all stockbrokers}. We lost that; we kept some of the attitude, but not enough. Beautiful part of England though, the early arrivals nicknamed it "Sunshine Corner".

I think the only one remaining in Washington's been 'at risk' for quite some time. I remember going to the F Pit once or twice on school trips.

I'm from a town called Wellingborough in Northants. Most people have either driven through it or passed it on train. They never stay. Why do they never stay? WHY?

OK this is my first post here so "Hello"...
I was born in Burton Upon Trent (The Andressy Hospital to be precise), Moved to Uttoxeter when I was 4 years old, moved from Uttoxeter to Stoke about 25 years ago...
My kid sister moved with her family to live in Stapenhill and according to her is a good friend of Paddy Considines family...
I never met Shane being 10 years older but I imagine we have the same old childhood stomping grounds, like "the old rec" where I developed my smoking habit...
I also went to Burton Tech college and studied drama for a short while (They started us off on Bertholt Brecht) but unlike Shane and Paddy I couldn't handle it and soon left...
Last year my family suffered a very public tragedy that will forever be connected to the name of Uttoxeter...
Edited: I spelled "Brecht" wrong...
