Hey everyone,
Just a quick "HELLO" from a new member.
Saw This is England the other day and thought it is Shane's best film so far (I've also seen Twentyfourseven, Once upon a time in the Midlands, Dead man's shoes).
Brilliant cast / clothes / tunes. All the cast were superb (especially Shaun, Woody, Smell - what a difference to how she looks in real life).

Since seeing TIE I've been looking for a decent Harrington jacket again haha.
Haven't stopped talking about TIE in work yet? Best film I've seen in a long time.

Cheers for the welcomes - don't feel a Billy no mates any more  So, have any of you got to see This is England yet on advance screenings, festivals ect? Trying to get hold of Romeo Brass, probably buy it through Play.com - seen a couple of clips on Youtube and it looks good. I've enjoyed Shane's other films so far. Wouldn't mind seeing Bartley Gorman film being made as I read the book a while ago. Haven't seen Shane's programme on him though. Any of you matey with any cast then outside of the forum or just mates within it? Will have to put a few messages on other forums too to get to know other members. |

yeah, a lot of us (including me) saw a screening of This Is England at london film festival in November last year, we also met up with cast and crew before the screening which was great fun, all got on really well  . Also a few from the forum went up to the screening in Scotland... in Edinsborough was it? where unfortunately shane wasn't present, but many cast and crew members were. You should be able to find pictures of these nights somewhere deep in the forum! ha ha. Hope you enjoy ARFRB when ya get it |
