The Cinematography in all of Shane's films is outstanding. This is especially noticeable in the hydrotherapy scene in ARFRB. It's so well set out it should get an award of it's own.

i like it cause its making use of what its got- its doesn't even attempt to allude blockbusting special effects etc... its almost shane's way of saying- you could have a crack at this yourself... And i mean that as a compliment obviously

Paul Couldn't agree more Thribb! If I were made to choose just one reason as to why Shane's films connect with me so much in the way that they do it would have to be the cinematography. It's what made me sit up straight in my seat within a few minutes of watching DMS. It's what gave me tingles! It quickly dawned on me that something special was going on. 'Who is this guy!?' I was thinking. Who ever it was directing this film was doing so with an incredible amount of thought and consideration. It's been said before elsewhere that every frame of a Meadow's film could be hung in a gallery as a work of art and it's so true! It really is. His films fill the screen with beautifully arranged images that I sometimes see consciously and at other times subconsciously but at all times perceive with a quiet gratitude that there's someone who knows what I like. If you see what I mean. And then there's the rest, the characters, the stories, the dialogue. And more heart and soul than you can shake a computer generated stick at! Right, I've sed me piece. Ciao!

Agreed. Just so you know Danny Cohen was the cinematographer for both This Is England and Dead Man's Shoes. He also did My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117 which i gues sis how he got to do DMS seeing thats how Mark Herbert got involved.
