Hiya everybody,
I'm a huge fan of Shane and all his work, i have just got back from the cornerhouse in manchester where i watched this is england!
I don't want to sound like a prick, but it was absolutely brilliant, i dont know what it quite is, wether or not its the characters of the way its shot or whatever but it puts his work on another level from other filmmakers, even the big nobs from america.
All the cast were brilliant, the little lad thomas turgoose was fuckin incredible, and obviously stephen graham was a bit good too! But i thought that the ones that people might overlook like Andrew Shim , lad who played Gadget, Shoe Shop Lady!, Vicky McClure, joseph gilgun, keiran hardcastle, jo hartley and especially the lad whose name im not sure of, but he was the lad who was kicked out of the car was especially good!
I cant figure out how these actors who are really the cream of the crop of british talent if u ask me arent getting more recognition, fuckin annoyin when u see the absolute shite blandness that is orlando bloom and keira knightley grabbing all the attention, good to see Paddy is getting more and more of the recognition he deserves however!
As for what I'd like to see Shane do next, I would love to see him team paddy and stephen graham up in some sort of boxing film, that would work big time, fuckin calcium kid!?
This has been a long one, but I dont think a simple 'it was good' would have done! Because its just absolutely brilliant!
