Hi, I also found this through the Paddy forum and am enjoying having a nose through everyone's posts. I'm going to be a lazy bugger and post pretty much my intro from the other one seeing as I'm new there too...
Hi everyone, just been on a film bonanza this week and thought I'd officially become a "fan", so long as I don't have to crawl around shrubberies or rake through bins or squeal or anything that'll be just fine.
Favourite other films include Usual Suspects, Mediterraneo, Arsenic and Old Lace, Topper, The Man Who Wasn't There, Fargo, Scent of Green Papaya, Amelie and ALL the Hornblower films - well the ones with Robert Lyndsay.
During the day I teach geology to students on the internet, and during the evenings I write songs and make albums and stuff.
I live in West Sussex but was born n bred near Aberdeen, where I spent a lot of time looking a bit miserable and sticking my hand up horses' bums.
Jo BollyKnickers McCafferty - I am loving Ashes to Ashes...

All in the interest of science I assure you! I used to live on a horse farm and my mum would make me help the vet inseminate horses with a tube and a bucket of sperms. It's quite scary being arm deep in horse and have the thing turn round and smile at you!

I can't imagine you got many favourable results if you were attempting fertilization via the rectum! ;D
Welcome to the site!

Hahahah, well it can be difficult to judge your aim with your eyes shut and the other hand on the tube... I did successfully inseminate one, and delivered the end product (well I helped, I think the horse did most of the work). Thanks for the welcome Dave! I'm enjoying browsing the site.

As i only have access to a computer of a night time (while I'm at work) all my chats with myself will be at some UN-godly hour!! Just wondered if anyone else ever made the trip to Skegness to find the food van on the sea front out of Small time, or do i seem like the only person that obsessed with Shane in the late 90's? It's a lonely place this hospital when everybody is asleep (most of the staff included!!!)

Hi Shane, I really enjoy your movies, nice to see that you post on your forum, i gave up journalism to pursue a career as a screenwriter, i gave journalism up because of the shameless gossip and celebrity culture that journalism has. If you want Shane it would be a great honour for me if you could take a peek at my first movie 'A Salesman of Death', if you were to leave a comment on it it would make my day, the link is www.myspace.com/brokenglassprod, after you go on that site click the top right hand box that says 'A Salesman of Death' to watch it. Thanks Shane, congratulations on getting the BAFTA you truely deserved it, your movies are a brilliant antidote to the snobbery that exists in lots of British movies made today.

good evening shane. first time messager, long time......watcher.
just a quick one. i was on countdown last year, i got absolutely spanked if you were wondering, and in my application they ask hobbies etc, were i mentioned my fav film was dead mans shoes.
Des Occonnor said this on air which provoked a discussion between me, Des, Carol and Barry Norman. if you were ever looking for some sort of validation in your life and a point to reach were you could die happy, surely it was carol and Des discussing your film while Suzie Dent watched on in her silent ponderous way.
good man, you gave me a link to carol which will last forever.
looking forward to your new stuff as always
