Hi everyone
Another newbie here who recently discovered the delights of Shane's films. I always knew about him but never took much notice till i got to see Dead Mans Shoes, which i thought was possibly the best film i had seen. S**t was i wrong, within a week of seeing it i had gone to see another certain film. Well the best film has now gone to This is England.
Absolutely amazing film making. Keep it up Shane.

Yeah welcome mate! What you gotta realise is the sites gone from 470 members to 670 in aboot 2 weeks! Its really hard to keep up with everyone so please don't feel left oot.. and if you're wondering what the aboot and oot words are all aboot, do some digging on the forum!!

Cheers guys, thanks for the belated welcome(only joking  ) Dave, I got to see Romeo Brass a few days ago and absolutely loved it. Each film i watch i love. Shane is so consistent in his film making, i don't think he could ever do anything wrong. Glad to know there are a few southerners on here too hehehe Cheers Ant |

Welcome to the site Ant, where abouts are you from then as I'm from South but the majority of these fellow meadows maniacs are from the midlands or up North. But there all lovely people regardless of where there from lol. ;D

Have I had 4 welcomes? Didn't know but yeah this is a friendly site-its not your fault your a southerner (only joking). I s'pose I've put myself about a bit but like to reply to interesting posts.
Well done for starting a string-haven't had the inspiration yet.
Shane Meadows is the voice of his truth and that is what shines through in his films. He is also a good laugh and that is moooost important.

I'm from the South West - Bristol and I'm sure I read somewhere that Bristolians are supposed to be high up in the list of the most friendly ( it might have been the most fiendly, but I'm too tired to be fiendish today), so hello.
