I thought I would pop in and say hi, as I'm a new member and I fancy trying to find the filming locations of some of Shane's films.
As I'm from Belper, Derbyshire, I normally travel hundreds of miles to find filming locations of my favourite films and my wife has just brought me 'Once Upon A Time In The Midlands' and found out it was filmed in Nottingham. What joy, will take in the sights of Nottingham soon.
Can anyone help with this pet project?

Welcome to the site UKzombie! You could be in luck because there are at least two great sources of information regarding locations on this forum. The first is RichK (Richard Knight) who has been the location manager on most of Shane's films... and also Thribb who has found quite a lot of locations that were used in Shane's films. He also has a photo gallery of his finds: www.flickr.com/photos/thribb/Check out the sections down the right hand side of that page!

Thanks for the greetings Dave, I have seen the photos which Thribb has uploaded onto the photo site and the guy has done a good job, will contact him for some help. I will have to get in contact with Richard Knight (the location scout as I’m looking to interview a few location scouts for my website www.filmingllocationsdetectives.com (sorry about the plug.) which can't do any harm to publicise Shane Meadows films Tahnks ukzombie

Hello Paul, thanks for the kind offer, will take you up on that offer, just need to sort the stills out and watch the film a couple of times and I will be off running!
Have you found the filming locations of all of Shane's movies?
Are you a Nottingham lad?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I've always been curious about the Wimpy estate location for the the robbery in clown get up in OUTM. It's supposedly in Glasgow, but most likely Nott'm (other 'Glasgow locations' are actually in Nott'm I've noticed). It looks like the estate at the top end of Arnold (near Mapperley top). Curious because a friend of mine used to live their. Anyway, if anybody knows (Thribb), be interested to hear.
