I am currently writing an analytical essay on three of the films; 'Romeo Brass', 'Dead Man's Shoes' and 'This Is England'. I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to provide me with a rough figure of how much each film cost to produce? The essay is going great but I have hit a bit of a brick wall with the finance section, any help would be much appreciated.

I know that Dead Man's Shoes cost about 1Million, which is very low. They aimed at shooting it for 75,000 for your information.
I don't know how much the others were, more than Dead Man's Shoes though for sure. Someone will know.

Don't take this as gospel, but I've heard that This is England cost £2.2million (£3 million with post-production and marketing).
Dead Man's Shoes I think was budgeted at $750,000 and ended up costing around a mil. Mark Herbert told me they would have been willing to shoot it on Mini DV for £5000 if that was all they could raise.
Romeo Brass I think cost about £2 million as well.
