Not being horrible, mate but bemoaning the state of the film/television industry in Suffolk isn't really goig to get you anywhere. If you're serious about getting regular gigs, you're going to have to move, or at least try and persue work in London...

Granted Shane is in Nottingham, and there are several other prolific filmmakers based in other parts of the country, but where do you reckon the deals are done for most films and TV projects? Don't take a condescending tone with me – I was trying giving you advice.

If you're serious about getting regular gigs, you're going to have to move, or at least try and persue work in London... Got to admit I was thinking the same thing. A lot of my mates are actors and what we kind of do is rotate rooms. Sounds stupid I know but for example. I lived in Kilburn with 3 actors, I then went and did a play for four months so didn't need my room so another actor who was coming off a tour took my room. Just before I finished I called round some actors and found a place in Harrow, where an actress was moving to Manchester to do a run in a soap. Now weve got a friend who is coming back from LA and we are facebooking each to see if anyones got a room coming up. It saves on having to worry about signing contracts and stuff and means you don't spend loads of money when your not working in London. As for everything going on in London check this out for stupid - I was working in Edinburgh and got an audition for another Theatre in Scotland that was about an hour's drive away from Edinburgh. The director and everything were based there but where did I have to go for the audition, at a lot of time and expense to everyone? - London.
