Dave I've emailed mine through... its a first take and I'm happy to do it again if its cack I'm not going to listen to them individually, I'm going to compile them first and give myself the full commentary experience.... while making notes such as which bits are too quiet/too loud etc.

Cool mate, well then thats mine done... look forward to hearing them all I can't wait to hear the whole lot. I'm sure it's going to be great! ;D It's a good idea to have these 19 five minute sections even if I do say so myself! haha... because you never have to wait long for a completely new voice and new take on the film and the commentary idea. Mumbling and rambling will make it all the better I reckon.... nobody likes a very clinical and precise voice to listen to do they? I mean, you don't get any feel for a persons personality that way. Oh yeah.... so people can see how near the commentary is to completion, I will add the word DONE to each person's entry on the list at the beginning of this thread, as and when I receive their completed section.

No danger of getting a clinical or precise voice from me mate (function of a clinical and precise brain isn't it? ;D) Looking forward to hearing it too tho.' Thanks for doing this Dave, it'll be great I reckon!

Mate, I just did it, it was probably all wrong, I said "amazing" too many times and I fluffed a few words but I'm sure all thats what they call "Charm".... just give it a go and dont worry about perfection

Im really looking forward to getting on with this, wont be for a week or so though.
And definitely lets not worry about perfection, were not proffesionals, and I think the charm will be in its roughness.

You wait until the final edit... the roughness of the sound quality differences between each clip will be fun! Salvador has embarrassed us with the best sound quality so far!

Haha, luckily I have a Tascam Digital 8-track portable recording studio and condensor microphone! Thats my secret

I tried using windows sound recorder but the mic quality via my headset was just pants and I couldn't work out how to record more than a 60 second clip so I ended up using the headset for my phone and recorded it on my phone. As far the actual recording, I did make a few bullet points but that was about it and just talked round those points. My third take was the best of a bad to very average bunch, like Dave says no-one wants to hear a precise and scripted sounding commentary the fluffs will make it more interesting. My advice just do it and forget about it, avoid listening to it if you hate the sound of your own voice recorded like me. Its just a bit of fun!

Funny you should mention the thing about hating the sound of your own voice there... nearly everyone does. I used to, but when working at the Robins Cinema that used to be in Bath, it was nearly always my voice doing the recorded information line, and whenever anyone phoned the line, the message was audible in the office too. After years of that, I'm no longer bothered at all.
