Cool, I've decided to volunteer at EIFF this year, part time and it seems I can get into nearly anything for free so I'll probably try and get into the Saturday screening too. Bought tickets for the friday night and Shane in person stuff though cos I didn't want to be refused entry. this is a hell of a good idea... i'm going to apply! what section are you working in?

Here's a question....
For the Shane Meadows: Skillset In Person, will anyone be able to record it?
Here's another question....
Will anyone be allowed?
One more....
Will the EIFF record it anyway for the website perhaps?

Dave,
I've been to a few of these "in person" at Edinburgh and they do record it but I have never seen any of the footage available online, I did see Tilda Swinton talking about Derek Jarman at EIFF on a Jarman DVD but thats about it.
I'd love to be able to film it, but I think it would need to be put forward to the festival by Shane himself or his "people."
Anyway we can get that to happen??

I'm an "Audience Award Assistant".... Basically I hand out voting slips at the beginning of competition films, watch the film, then collect them back in and count them.... Only have to do one film a day, so really nothing at all!

Weyhey! Nice one!
Well where should we meet?? The screenings are at the Cineworld at Fountain Park which only has two pubs beside it, one is a wetherspoons-esque pub called McCowans and the other is like walking through Beirut.....
Then there is the Filmhouse bar, which is the "Hub" of the festival and Tomo is guaranteed to get in there..... its a 10-15 minute walk from Cineworld.
