Now I'm ashamed to admit that I watched this but the wife had tonights Hollyoaks episode on E4 last night and they use "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" - I couldn't believe it.... such a shite programme but good exposure I suppose....

One song a canny programme doesnae make. It's a Smiths cover. It's probably got about as much exposure as it's ever going to get.

Actually, considering Hollyoaks' average viewer age is probably young enough, he'll probably do well out of it.

It does a job, I worked for hmv for a while and you do get people ringing up asking for programme/advert song details.
Funnily my mate also wrote to Ch4 Hollyoaks asking for details of a particular song that he'd been trying to find out for ages, and I mean ages. He heard it in an episode and so was over the moon to finally have it.
