howdy! i know i once posted something about a feature script i was working on a few months ago and i have even sent a version of the script to tom wilton but after 14 months on and off i have a final finished version. it has had numerous rewrites but i now feel it is were it should be so if anyone is interested in reading the thing then i will gladly mail it to you, i have decided to try and make it myself early next year even though it will be an ambitious project to take on.
I am hoping to try and grab a small budget so that i could hire a red one when they become more available or i will maybe buy the red ones baby sister (scarlet) which in my opinion will change indie film making for ever!!!
here is a brief outline of what my screenplay is about;
"fearless men" has gone through a significant change after a few re-writes.
Benny & Woody are two men on the run, dressed in cowboy clothing they are trekking through some hospitable country, with a back drop of mountains and forests the two characters get into a few scrapes and mis-haps.
twenty minutes into the Western a flash back occurs taking us back 36 hours, we find ourselves in a mental hospital were Woody & Benny reside, we see the events unfold which are responsible for Woody's decision to escape.
meanwhile in a village named Sabden a wild west charity fun day is being held, the local pub landlord has hired a couple of actors to attend the event dressed as cowboys to help liven things up, the event organizer known as the Sheriff is a bully and brute, he has the event every year and the villagers are sick of it. Woody and Benny arrive at the village believing they have found their utopia, they start to get into conflicts with some of the villagers, the villagers play along believing the two are in fact the actors, events unfold which are both very amusing and tragic, we find out through a series of flash backs the reasons for Woody's insanity and also the reason why Sabden and the Sheriff are the reason for his incarceration.
the first twenty minutes of the film will be played out like a traditional Western with great cinematography, then a twist will happen where we then find out the story is a modern day one and that the reason for the Western theme is because both characters are obsessed with Clint Eastwood films.
the two characters speak the cowboy talk almost throughout the film.
The village residents are almost as mad as the two characters.
i would really appreciate some feedback wether be good or bad!
