Not bad. It's slightly funny. It's scripted nicely and there's a definite nod to one of Shane's shorts.

I enjoyed the ending! Nice dialogue there from Colin.
I thought that perhaps it was a bit too long. There wasn't enough in it to fill the 9ish minutes. I enjoyed Colin stumbling through the old campfire the most I think. Does that make me simple? ;D
I wanted the whole film to be Colin tracking the beast. As in we see the beast from the offset in the undergrowth etc, and the film follows Colin tracking the gorilla. Instead, we got some weird anecdotes! haha. Amusing, but not massively so.
Oh... The spelling pedant in me has to mention that you missed out the third A in 'gargantuan'.
Was it done with your new stuff. No camera noise on the sound! Nice! The link you posted doesn't seem to load the high quality version for some reason. I went to the standard quality version and then clicked on the high quality option and it looks a load better (as you know). Perhaps just post the link to the standard version with a big note underneath asking people to click the high quality option when they get there. Perhaps it's just this computer playing up. I wouldn't be surprised, it is a bleedin' Mac.

Hey dazza,
Good effort mate. Not hilarious, but good stuff. The "Small dog" line got me. Didn't like the ending too much... I think a bit too similar to a film we all know has been homaged (that's not a word, but you get me) here...
I too like Dave would have loved to have seen Colin follow the gorilla and also for him to believe it was a real one.
anyway, good job! Recognised the imcomputech.com music! And the sound is all very nice indeed. Try fading down your music and clips though... try and fade sound down from one video clip and fade one from the next up at the same time... if you get me... basically crossfade the sound. Makes it all sound a bit smoother!
Looking forward to more mate, you;re certainly a faster worker then me!

Hey man.
I have to start by saying I was really rooting for you on this one. I read the comments prior to watching the film, and unfortunately, they're right. It's very timid.
Obviously, it is too long and aimless. I would say that the idea could have been something very special, but it needs more work. I would also say that the actor wasn't very appealing - I switched off to everything the guy said, and that was a real shame.
Knowing what you could do (especially having read your short screenplay), I don't feel bad saying that I didn't enjoy this. I think that you're still finding your style, and that's a good thing, but this was sadly not as good as it promised. I would say that if you haven't put the other short into production yet, I think you should. It is in a different league to this stuff, much truer to your talents.
Tom.

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Ok I'm not going to beat around the bush this film was a quickly thought out piece that I wrote in about ten minutes for just a bit of fun so I'm not really expecting it to be kind of some fantastic piece that is going to blow peoples minds. In my opinion its ok, was made for a bit of fun and was good for testing out my new camera and sound recording kit so It kinda did what I wanted of it. This was really something to kind of get me back into film making as I hadnt made anything in a while and kind of give me some more experience whilst my proper serious shorts that I have been writing are getting off the ground Blowing my own trumpet I'm much better at gritty, serious issues and Tom that screenplay you read is going to be my calling card, I'm waiting to talk more with a producer who really liked the idea and thinks that could get some funding ;D
