The editors of the Edinburgh Film Festival website asked me to write a preview article about one of the movies showing at this year's event. Guess which one I picked? www.edfilmfest.org.uk/news/view/2061/critic-s-choice/best of luck too all concerned for the screenings, including in the audience award and the Michael Powell award. Neil PS : I have also just reviewed the film for 'The Hollywood Reporter' and will post a link on here once it goes online.

Not one review I've read, and they've all been great reviews, has mentioned Paul Fraser. Whilst we writers are used to being pushed into the back seat, I just want to remind everyone that there'd be no Somers Town without Paul's script!!

"Meadows and his scriptwriter Paul Fraser, meanwhile, deserve particular credit for so deftly maintaining such a delicate balance between the bouncily engaging story and its sad, even tragic subtexts." www.jigsawlounge.co.uk/film/content/view/755/1/

I hear ya sister! writers get treated like shit when it comes to the press and festivals etc. Fraser usually has to travel with the mail when we fly anywhere, but I always take him some off cuts from my steak once I have had my massage in first class. Last time I went down into the hold to see him, he was fighting a monkey for the right to lean on a soft suitcase.

Great article. I can't wait to see this now. I also noticed that your name is Neil Young. My name is Tom Jones. Want to start some sort of support group?
