Excellent - fook looking on eBay and then bidding like a banshee with a bodacious bank balance - get on 'Amazon' and buy a 'seccy hand' copy. I got my for less than £3 including post - condition is excellent and I'm well chuffed with the quality of art and the slightly different scripting. Belter - that's a great addition to my collection and sits proudly next to my 'Romeo Brass' book. N.

Just purchased a copy from Amazon marketplace (2nd hand). I paid the princely sum of 1 english penny for the novel £2.75 postage. Knowing my luck it's probably the brail version or something. ;D

Hey Chewbaxter it's arrived and thank god it's the Anjan Sarkar version. ;D
Going to read it during my lunch break!
Update:
Well that was a good read, slightly different take on the way Richard dispatches some of the gang but a welcome addition to the bookcase. The likenesses are good too.

Good innit? And I'm glad you got the right one... I fooked up and got the novel because some s*d had falsely advertised it... so when I tried to get the 'proper' one I contacted the vendor first and got it sorted no probs.
What do you reckon to the ending by the way? Have to say I prefer the film ending - but good nevertheless I feel.

I can't even remember what the different ending is now... I haven't looked at the book for so long.

I preferred the film over the book for definite.
I'd still like to know what he did to Tuff in getting him into that suitcase. I thought the novel might have elaborated a bit.
I'll still have to just use my imagination I guess - yuck!

I really think that the death by minigun scene took things a bit too far....I mean what was it doing just lying on the floor in Motsons Farm anyway?
And the part when Richard joins the X-men...that was a shock!

HA! Love the avatar parryade. There's a few Spaced fans on here. Including yours truly. Prefer the film ending. More realistic, relatively speaking. Also like the fact you don't see anything of Tuff's demise. His abject fear and the end result of the nature of his unseen despatch are truly grusome. One's imagination is always more powerful than what can be portrayed on screen. The best directors know this.

I totally agree Chrome. The ending in the film is far more poignant than the comic. I won't go into the details and spoil it for Ryd with regards to the comic ending.
Tuff was one character I almost sympathised with when he lost it at the garage. He truly knew at that point that all was lost and no matter what he did he was going to die for his actions.
I also think the reveal scene of Tuffs demise was one of the best I've ever seen. Especially when Richard asks Herbie calmly if he wants to kiss him like a parent would ask a child if they had lost a pet.
P.S yep I'm a massive Spaced / Wright / Frost / Pegg fan too!
