Shane's next film will today be announced as being a big-budget biopic of Thora Hird.
Jo Hartley will star as the young Thora in 'STAIRLIFT TO HEAVEN': a no-holds-barred, steamily sensual tale revealing the eyebrow-raising circumstances behind the much-loved comedienne's sudden departure from Morecambe in the late 1940s.
Rumours that Thomas Turgoose plays a teenage Alan Bennett in the movie have yet to be confirmed.
