I saw this film in Washington State at a film fes. It has inspired me to get into film making. I am thinking of doing a doc. film, where and how do I go about getting funding for it? do you write out your scripts already before you shoot your doc films?

You would script it in certain parts. Voiceovers and such. At very least to give you a running order of things.

It's fraustraing when you get project going, you have a few people who are negative with your ideas.

It's fraustraing when you get project going, you have a few people who are negative with your ideas. Should this thread be moved to film making? Others being negative with YOUR ideas? This is when you start having to develop a thick skin and small pocket of arrogance. Some will always be dismissive until you create something. But others will be very supportive, so filter out the people you don't need and focus on developing your ideas.

I get what you mean about budgeting and scripting. I try to create short films to the best I can with limited budget, and sometimes it really shows. 'It's frustrating when you get project going, you have a few people who are negative with your ideas' I have had this on many occasions whilst filming some of my very small, immensely low budget films, get rid of them, you need supportive, co-operative and people willing to learn and understand especially upon a low budget. I really want to go into the film industry so yeah... That is why I am posting this ;D
