items in shop

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum - just watched the film on Film4 the other day - brilliant ! Great acting all round. Brought back loads of memories for me, especially when Shaun goes to try and buy a pair of Doc Martins. I remember being well made up when I got my first pair, only to get to school and have the p*ss ripped out of me because they were "Diddy Docs" i.e. the childrens version, as my feet were too small !
Anyway, my question is, how did they manage to get all the 1983-era items in the shop ? Was there an appeal for people who still had stuff hanging round in their cupboards for nearly 25 years, or was it all mocked up to look like real thing ?
