I am a Nottingham based photographer. I am working with NTU on an exhibition which will feature Nottingham nurtured creative talent and I would like Shane to be included. I have already approached and have dates for a session with Sir Paul Smith, Robert Lindsey, Alan Sillitoe and Torville and Dean amongst others. Yours seems to be the only official connection. If you can pass on my details i would appreciate it. I have a web site at www.johnmcleanphotography.com The opening page shows the kind of 'blended feel' the pictures will have. Sorry to clog up your fan website with this! thank you John McLean

Sorry to clog up your fan website with this! A proper intro would've been nice John, rather than a straight "On the scav" approach. A well... yet another one for the 'one post then I fook off' collection methinks. Benefit of the doubt sir? ME sir? Indeed... prove me wrong and I will veritably eat my words. N.

I weren't in Die Hard... and anyway, wasn't that a film about a Welsh hitman? I digress... yep, these things DO bug me... it's because I've run/moderated forums (and still do) and get p*ssed off with the: "Hey - love the place. By the way... I'm here to promote..." And then the spam! I just find it plain ol' rude to jump on and 'blag' without at least attempting to join in. Apologies to you though johnmclean if your intentions are well meant, but... ah fook it - come on, you wouldn't meet someone for the first time, shake hands and IMMEDIATELY try to flog 'em summat now would you? You'd at least have a chat first THEN go for the hard sell! Just my opinion - and a rather opinionated one at that! N.

It's not that bad is it? Didn't seem like a rude post to me. Maybe some people are unaccustomed to the rules for cordial behaviour in the web.
It's a forum yes, so I guess there's room for a bit of conversation, of course. I don't see what there is to get het up about. The photos on Mr McLean's website are certainly attractive though aren't they?

The photos on Mr McLean's website are certainly attractive though aren't they? They are indeed... particularly the "Whitstable Sea Huts" one in the Ltd. Ed. Prints bit. Do you know... in the cold light of day... Now that there rat that crawled up me *rse and died has had its funeral... I have to say I realise what a t*sser I can be... why the HELL do I have to get wound up over nowt? I've relented... not everyone knows all this 'forum curtesy' stuff - yer right... and what does it matter? Right - now I've got my 'rose-tinted' glasses on (I've not had 'em for a long time as you can tell) I'm off to take the dogs out for a walk before work! N.

duh i wasn't talking to you baxter and i wasn't saying you were in die hard either, that would be as funny and pointless as say, bird watching. What i was trying to do is make a crack at the fact that the guys name is john mclean which is very close to Bruce Willis' charatcer in the die hard films.
Also I heard of a guy once who used to tell people what to say and where to say it, his name was Adolf.
