Did anyone on here do this? My daughter's taking it as one of her 4 A levels this coming September and it would be nice for me to know more about it and be able to help at times.
Muchas Gracias .. Saffy ;D

Yeah, I have done it since GCSE. I just got AAA in my AS-Exams and am now taking it at A2. It really depends on which school she goes to and what exam board they use which shall affect the course. I think I have used AQA at AS Level. We examine: - Documentaries from the early 20th century to the modern day. - Film and Broadcast Fiction. It is really fun if you enjoy the media. You analyse programmes and films which is actually very enjoyable. At my school we also undertake a coursework assignment in which we make a film/ produce a short radio programme or design a magazine. I chose to make a film. Like I say, it really depends on what exam board she studies under. You can help by making her watch TV over and over

(Thanks for your reply) Thank you, gald to see it is AQA as they are the best. I worked under WJEC for a while which wasn't as great but still really fun. As long as she has the passion for media all will be good. The coursework is also great fun! Like I say, any more help just PM me.

Brilliant. Thank you so much.
She's a tad nervous .. decided to change school for 6th form so it's all going to be new. (Lady Manners - Bakewell, Derbyshire).

I took an A level Media Course, a Film one too... perfect combo. I also worked helping with the technical side of a Media course for a year. I'd highly recommend it, it helped me hugely, and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
