A hello (and a quick question)

Hi there,

I've just joined the site, so wanted to introduce myself really quickly.

My names Ria. I'm a massive Shane Meadows fan. Also love (in no particular order) Lynne Ramsay, Bill Douglas, Bela Tarr, Robert Bresson and tons of others.

I've just graduated from uni having done a combined photography and film course, and I'm looking to get even more into my film-making now I have extra spare time on my hands.

I'm really sorry to make my first post a request, but I was hoping to put my graduation film up on here so that you guys might have a look at it sometime.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to make it available?

I have it converted into a small (89mb) avi file. Can't post on youtube or anything similar as i'm hoping to possibly enter it into some festivals etc.

Anyway, any suggestions are most welcome

Those stills look great.

I uploaded my film to www.yousendit.com/ its free to do so and you dont even need to sign up. Email the send it file to yourself then when you get the email click on the link and send the webpage you are on to whoever you like and/or post it on here.

It stays there for 1 week or for 100 downloads.

I see you went to Napier! I'm up in Edinburgh, give me a shout if you're doing any film work. You dont happen to know Lewis Carmichael (Year below you probably)

Hi Salv, thanks for the info about yousendit. I am a Napier graduate for my sins! I don't actually know Lewis myself but my boyfriend does. He went to Stevenson with him I think. Small world eh?

I'm staying at my mums for a while at the moment, but will hopefully be back up in Edinburgh in the near future so will ceratinly give you a shout. Equally, I'm always more than willing to help out if you need a pair of hands on any projects you have going on. You might not want them once you see my film though!

Anyways, thanks again. Will post a for the film link asap.
