i am doing media studies at college and i am looking at big arty productions how is it financed i cant find it anywhere i thought it was lottery and stuff can anyone help? i know shane partly owns it does he?

P.s. This is the kind of dilemma Google was invented for...its a nice little search engine function. Just type in ''big arty productions'', and as if by the ''pockets of Potter'', loads of information will appear.

Funding is usually at the end of the credits isn't it? try looking there. I guess you've tried IMDB?

I think Big Arty Productions films are often largely funded by Lottery money through the UK Film Council and the smaller local film councils (East Midlands Media and Screen Yorkshire, for example). Probably a bit of international money and all. Oh, and Film4 poney up some finance too. This Is England had about sixty different company logos at the start of it, so the funding came from all over.
As Ryd says, just look out in the opening and closing credits of Shane's films for the company details, and have a quick search for what those companies are. Warp Films has its own website too, have a gander on there for anything. Good luck with it, poppyland.

thanks for all your help ;D ive looked at warp film too its helped me loads ill go and check my dvds now ive been on IMDB and not much info was available there thank you loads
