The little blighter pinching my bummy in the photo in my signature is writing a dissertation on youth culture in BRITISH cinema from the 1950s.
Just needed some input here. Any films that spring to mind regarding youth movements, mentality etc.?
any films with abit of arse?
we've already got ''A Clockwork Orange'', ''Quadrophenia'' and ''Sweet Sixteen''.

Do you mean youth movements specifically, or more generally stuff that says somethings about the cultural values of youth or can be read in certain ways to be revealing of the generation gap/disaffection etc?...not sure what you mean by 'mentality' ?

isn't it obvious?

didn't mean it to be rude...it's just its not that focused at the moment. Just need films that are an overall representation of youth culture, such as ''goodbye charlie bright'' etc.
Its quite broad. Sorry if I aroused any angry little demons inside you, baying for my fat blood after that remark...

I may be off the mark here and I'm not sure of the whole story of A Taste of Honey, but it would be interesting to find out racial attitudes at the time of the film and how you may relate it to a mixed race relationship. Just an idea.

''Adam and Pau''l aint really youth culture, specially baring in mind that one of the protagonists was in his early 30s.
