UPDATE: Shane has posted some more up-to-date info about this on page two of this thread. You can skip to Shane's post by clicking HERE Everything before Shane's post is now old news!Due to unforeseen circumstances.... the Le Donk preview is now very likely to have extremely limited seats available for Maniacs! Think 4 or 5 places! I know I announced that all contributors to the fan commentary were guaranteed an invite, and when I announced that, they were. Now however, it simply isn't possible. The best that can be done now is to say that however many places become available for the screening, the places will be given to contributors to the fan commentary. Any suggestions as to how the people will be selected? Ideas? There is now a strong possibility that the screening will now take place in about 2 or 3 weeks.... in LONDON. I'll be off now. Signed, The Messenger

Hmmmm, Shitter! I dont think I'd be able to make down the big smoke very easily anyway so you can cross me off. Ill keep my fingers crossed for a nationwide tour of the film (Shane, come to the cornerhouse in Manchester!)
Oh well, no worries Dave it aint your fault!

Depends on what day it is. Monday-Wednesday I have all on getting my zombified sorry a*se to Brum on time. Other days are not so bad. If I can't make it, I'd like to give up my place to Comp!
Shane...come on our leader...any chance of a Midlands venue after the London shindig???

I can do London, so I'm still in. Nice to get down to the big smog and catch up with some of me old muckers who live in it. The longer the notice the better, though, as without the missus, I'll have to go by coach (dot com). Someone can sit on my lap during the film if places are scarce, but only if they're a girl. Or a lad with blonde hair.
When are we likely to get any firmer details on this, Dave? As I have the option of going to Ireland during the next few weeks and I'd rather plan that around the screening (if I'm allowed to go!) rather than miss me chance to see Donk because I was standing around looking at mountains and wishing I'd brought me wrestling figures.

It's very likely that I CAN make this. Will be able to book it off work, or swap shifts if I end up with one.
I'd completely and utterly love to go.

I can go to London, be grateful of a place if there is still one available, cheers.
EDIT: But if it's between 5th and 9th November I'd have to pass as I volunteer to help out at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival and I'm working every day throughout it so, committed then. Apart from that I'm flexible.

I think it's probably better that I pull out and give other people a chance. I have a few things on at weekends during November and if it's a weekday, Mon-Weds are out for me and I'll likely be too knackered on Thurs/Fri to do a roundtrip to London

Just to point out to everyone that the vast majority of these events are set up by distributors, outside organisers etc and not directly by Shane/Warp, which unfortunately means that the places available can be highly changeable and outside their direct control, so please please don't feel disheartened. For example, I have yet to see a film I worked on last year ("Summer") due to unavailability of places at a screening, and I did the flippin' locations on it!! Not to worry, I'll get to see it eventually..

Nevermind, hope it sorts itself out and everyone who can make it gets to see it. Will you be able to make it Dave? After all its your baby (the commentary...not Le Donk...). Can't wait to see it with the rest of the plebs x

I live in London but I step down from the opportunity to go for a more deserving person (Not to mention the fact I haven't taken part in the commentary). If anyone is at a loose end before or after the screening give us a shout.
Exist!
