Hello!
I have just made a short film (about a skinhead)
People compare it to the great film made by Mr Meadows (OVIOUSLY, This IS England hammers all over any Skinhead featured film)
I would love it if you guys could shar a few minutes... and give it a watch
MUCH LOVE!
ITS ABOUT my experiences of growing up around a skinhead sub culture ...in STAFFORDSHIRE (would be the DREAM if Shane watched it!)

Hello all, I am new to all the forum stuff but felt the need to join in the hope of finding out whether there were new episodes of TIE in the pipeline. I am not in search of a job! but have loved the film and the following two series. I love the way it blends serious stuff but then can create great comedy. Watching it takes me back to my past and reminds me of growing up through the eighties. My congratulations to Shane, the actors and crew. More please cheers Chris.

Hi Chris,
This Is England '90 is still very likely to be the next instalment, but if Shane's documentary on the Stone Roses goes ahead this summer, then there might be a long wait.

Hello Nik... Welcome.
Yeah, there's quite a bit of chat to read round here! ;D
Do take note of when posts were made... I see you replied in the thread in which you mention how Shane seems a bit peeved with all the 'give us a job' messages. Shane posted that four years ago and it was due to one particular, over-the-top pain ine the arse! Ha.

Hello all, New member introducing myself. I'm a massive film fan and an equally massive Meadows admirer.
I love Shane's work. Being a child of the eighties myself much of his work catches the spirit of the times: the bleakness, the dole and the hope through friendship and humour.
I moved to Sheffield in 1986, aged 16, living in a shithole of a bedsit abusing Thatcher's 'generous' benefit system. Crazy times. Had a few run ins with the local skins at the time - but nothing too serious. ;D
Anyhow, glad I've found the forum and look forward to contributing to the site,
Big Jim

Hello stranger! Perhaps you have been reading this forum for a while and have thought about joining up. Perhaps it seems a bit daunting to join in with the tight-knit community already established on the boards. Well... don't worry about that, you will be welcomed with open arms (and that's a ShaneMeadows.co.uk guarantee!). Hope to hear from you soon! ADVICE FOR NEWCOMERS: Feel free to say hello in this NEW MEMBERS SAY HELLO! section, but it is also probably a good idea to join in on a topic elsewhere on the forum too. The main reason I suggest this, is that I don't think the majority of the site's regulars actually look at this newcomer's section very often, so you may not get many replies.... but don't feel down about it, just dive into the many discussions throughout the rest of the forum and you'll soon feel a part of the crowd! ...and before you know it, you'll be a true Meadows Maniac!
