don't know if it's been mentioned on here before, just seen it last night richard hawley documentary on channel 4.
shane was class on it and it was a great insight into the making of the videos. how great is richard hawley though, loved his patter as well as his tunes obviously which just keep getting better. favourite bits were shane directing richard with the doll and hawleys political stance "ye've heard of new labour? i'm prehistoric labour"
brilliant all in all

Damn I wished I'd seen that, being a fan of both.

I'm pretty sure that they put a version of the doc on the Hawley Album.

I have linked to the 'making of' the video for Serious on the front page of the site now. Mute Records have put it on YouTube, so it's legit! Obviously this is just a small part of the whole documentary though. I also popped the other Shane directed Richard Hawley video up for the track 'Valentine'. The music isn't really for me (no screaming or poly-rhythms ) and I preferred the 'Serious' track, but the video helps sell the song for me. Out of interest, I wonder, were both the videos shot on the same day? I'm not even sure if that is possible, but you can see Chanel hanging around the set on the making of the 'Serious' video (which they weren't in?).

Just watched the Valentine video... have to say Shimmy didn't look very old! Ha ha, i suppose its all tongue in cheek though! Still a great video, nice one Shane, Shim and co. Still not really a fan of the music, and like Dave preferred the Serious track. Great simple video though.
