Here as promised is a link to the very short film 'The Stairwell' I made a number of years back on a Nokia phone. I had to search high and low to find this ode bugger and finally found it on old unwanted hard drive feeling very unloved and betrayed. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aCvixoWmviUThanks to Donkensteiner for helping me to get it up on the ode Titnet.

Cheers! Made me giggle... ;D Just shows what can be done.
How about a competition for forum members? A 15 sec film on your mobile phone movie camera? Or your Sony 9million XZ20 Thron Über Vixen camera for those sans mobile phone movie cameras. Just a thought...

That was good stuff. Liked it! Yeah, I'd be up for a 1min or less Cam phone competition. I have a couple on Facebook (more for comedy value than anything else), and I have a short film of me driving down Long Lane in Derbyshire, although I think putting that up might lead me to getting banged up by the rozzers....

I'd be up for judging. Or maybe we could all vote so it's not biased towards dark working class themed ones which it would be if I did it alone. Anything arty or soft porno wouldn't get past round one, mind saying that, soft porn....

Thinking about it, I reckon a 15 second (or 30 or whatever people want) film competition could be just the ticket. How about a prize for the winner like we did on the shane quiz a few years back. I'd be happy to let someone do my garden or help me change the oil on the peugeot. ;D

Could it be a film recorded on anything, such as a webcam, or does it have to be a mobile phone? Also, could it be up to a minute?

I think it should be any format that people see fit. And up to a minute sounds good to me! I might make a one second short based on Crime and Punishment, 24 frames, more than enough me thinks.

Ay!? Cool! ;D I've already had an idea. I think I might just do it and upload it. I'm only going to allow myself 15 secs. The idea is not to get stressed trying to impress or going to great lengths in writing and rehearsing and other heavy stuff like that. Up to a minute max is a good cut-off. Just so people don't get put off too much. Between 1 and 60 seconds? Just go for a set up and a, ahem, 'prestige'. ;D Or punch line. Just like Stairwell. That's what I was idly pondering. I think your short shorts are good Salvador. I really like The Cheat and that's the kind of thing I have in mind. That kind of 1-2 or 1-2-3 structure. Bom-bom-bom. In-Out. Etc... Chuck 'em into a thread in the Film Making section and let Poppa Meadows cast his gimlet eye over them! ;D Cheers! Very kind of you. Does this thread need moving to Film Making?

Good to see this film up again Shane, nice one for getting it on.
The short film idea is great! I'd be up for entering! I've already made a 30 second film.... I suppose you have to make a brand new one for this contest though?
A new thread in the Film Making forum, stating all the rules, dates and stuff. That'd be good. And then we all just reply, to links to our super-short films. Glad it'll be on any forumat... my mobile camera is rubbish!
