King of the Gypsies

Just finished re-reading the book and now can't wait for the film. I'm not sure I'd trust any other film maker to do justice to the story. I really hope the hold ups are not down to Hollywood types trying to get the rights and make their own version, as in the wrong hands this could be awful. I have nightmare visions of a version starring Vin Dielsel as Bartley Gorman, Rowdy Roddy Piper as Uriah Burton and Danny Dyer as himself, bobbing about in the background of fights saying "fuck about there's some right naughty characters here!"

I hope the project does get moving again and doesn't turn into Shane's Gang's of New York.
