Did Shane know this fact when he made the movie?

Not sure if any of you readers on this board are from round these parts when I say these parts I'm of course referring to Gun capitol Nottingham anyway let me give you a bit of info on one of Shane's
film I'm talking about is Where's the Money Ronnie? Well its not info about the film but its a weird coincidence
I PROMISE THIS IS THE TRUTH
In the mid-sixties not sure precisely but it could be 64 we in Robin Hood town had our first recorded murder a local market trader had been drinking in a pub called
The Fox & Grapes (AKA Pretty windows)
the pub is now called Peggers its situated on the corner of Sneinton market anyway this market trader was stabbed to death over some debt he'd refused to pay.
The weird thing is 40 years later Shane's film (Where's the money Ronny) is based spookily on the same lines.
Also the stabbing scene in Shane's film is so close to the actual spot of the original murder its no more that 60 yards max
Did anyone know this?

(I'd like to think you knew of this fact but my guess is that its just a coincidence)

I had no idea bud. I'm sure there's been murders near most of the locations I have used as Nottingham isn't short of a stabbing/shooting or three.

If thats you Shane the fact i gave you is true the murder was known localy as the pretty windows murder.
I could play the part of the murdered guy if your thinking of making a film about it.
