George Newton will be taking part in a Q & A after the premiere of My Dangerous Loverboy in Sheffield on the 25th April. If you're in the vicinity on that date then I wouldn't miss this opportunity to see the film and of course for TIE fans see George in person at the Q & A! Virginia Heath is one of my favourite directors and I'm sure most Shane Meadows fans would also love her work. Her short Point Annihilation is astonishingly haunting, and now she's tackling the subject of sex trafficking in Britain amongst native teenagers, a subject we discussed last year on this thread about UNKLE, as one of their videos featured a prostitute, played by Jo Hartley (TIE). The premiere of My Dangerous Loverboy is at The Showroom, Sheffield. The details are here, from the Facebook event page. Please mark yourself down as coming if you think you can make it! Screening of Short Film plus Pop Video. Q&A with Director and Actors - Junade (Jay) Khan, Juliet Aaltonen & George Newton (This Is England).
In search of love and excitement, Jade (14) falls for charming Raz (27) only to discover her ‘loverboy’ has entrapped her in a dangerous world of sex trafficking, until she finally risks trying to escape...
Screening starts sharp at 5.30pm. Meet afterwards in the bar for a celebratory drink.
All welcome! Anyone concerned about teenage sex trafficking who needs help or advice, visit CROP, the Coaltion for the Removal of Pimping, here.

Hello again The premiere yesterday was fantastic, what a great film! And George delivered another fine performance. My partner Brian and I ended up spending the evening with George and his missus Dawn, and had a really really great time, what a lovely couple. I've posted pictures from the premiere on a web album here. Although I got Dawn's address because I'm sending her a copy of my novel My Adventures in Cyberspace ( shameless plug) I didn't get their email addresses, doh, so would someone please tell George I have posted the pics on here as he's not used to navigating his way round this forum, thanks.
