Shane, if you read this I'd like to start by saying I'm a big fan (that's enough smoke blowing). What is your take on doing addaptations? I've written a novel, 40,000+ words and have been told on numerous occasions I should market it as a screenplay. I know you must get lots of this on here and tell me to naff off by all means.
Cheers m'dears

Hiya bud and welcome to the site. I'm afraid I tend to work on my own scripts pretty exclusively and am just about to start writing my next feature, so the chances of developing someone else's book or script are pretty slim at the mo.
Best of luck though me ode. ;D

Out of interest, do you think you'd ever in the future adapt something to screen Shane? (I mean like a famous novel or something, not just anyones work..)

I reckon Shane should do a big-screen version of "Johnny Briggs". I just want to hear that theme tune again.

it wouldn't be the same without the original razzle, god rest his little soul.... They could resurrect him with a little Marlon Brando/Oliver Reed style creepy cgi necromancing. Nobody stays dead in contemporary cinema!

hey guys. to add to this, insn't making 'King of the gypsies' kind of a book adaptation?? Nx that is a good point nickkarimi, I would be interested to find out what percentage of the film is going to be lifted from the autobiography. I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be loosely based on the book but that some of it would be written from scratch. Shane knew Bartley so maybe there'll be bits in it which are true but aren't in the book? Hmmm....
