Not sure if this is the right place for this... Just found out that there's another film with Scorz-Ayz-Ee in it showing at the IEFF. This time he's credited has Dean Palo (Although as 'Dean Paulo' elsewhere). His real name is 'Dean Palinczuk' fact fans. Check out the website (Although it is slightly annoying. The website that is.) www.big-things.co.uk/Judging from the trailers it looks like a very funny film and very relevant to the film makers on here. Although if the film does have jaunty synth beats chuntering away throughout, in a parping brass stylee, I might disapprove... Looks like 2009 is gonna be Scorz-Ayz-Ee's year. Check this out. Very funny!

These are the dizzy heights of recording quality that MC/DC should be scaling!

Deans been in loads of Shorts and stuff, and is decently known to us Nottingham Folk. A year or two ago I impro-ed a loada stuff with him (that never took off, but watch this space as they say) and then since then I've seen him at events and shit, top guy. As for music, I've been labelling him Notts best lyricist for a long while. Started in a group/crew 'OutdaVille' before doing loads of solo stuff. **Definatly Youtube or go on his Myspace for tracks "Great Britian" and "Heroes Die"**
-He also goes by the name 'Rupert Brown' for a lighter more comedy side to his rap

Yeah, It was the Director of Big Things (Mark Davenport) who put me on to Scorz at the Auditions.
Mark actually had a part in the film that was chopped out in the latter stages of the edit, but his scene will be bought back to life on the DVD extras alongside another feature films worth of stuff.
He played a security guard (Guarding what appears to be a derelict empty building) who is living on site in Donks Bambi Campervan. Very funny actor, Did anyone see him in One for the Road?

That didn't make the final cut?! That is a really good scene.

Totally irrelevant to the thread... but Shane's gone Anvil on our arses! Nice!
Brilliant film that, and really not all that much like the 'real Spinal Tap' that the trailer tried to make out. It was a really touching story of loyalty for the most part! Plus, most of their music is loads better than that Metal on Metal track they kept showing in the trailer... and at the start of the film.

Yeah, lovin the Anvil avatar Shane!
Just bought the Steelbook edition. For some reason I love DVDs in steel cases. I considered getting the pack with their album... but then I realised I don't actually like their music!
Great human beings though, and they deserve all the success they're getting now. I'm hoping they'll play Reading!

If I hadn't been laughing so much at the funny shit in Anvil I would have cried my socks off.
It was f***ing amazing and although I don't even like metal that much, I am gonna buy all their stuff anyway. Who needs films when docco's are that touching???
I also got the metal edition based purely on the literal 'Anvil' metal meaning thingy.

Yeah (As mentioned in the 'Last Film you saw' thread) I just watched this.
Scorz again is fucking great, just completely himself and not giving a fuck. As for the film, yeah its very much a low budget production, so I'll say a good use of resources! Theres a fantastic performance from an actor I don't know (Will Update this post when i find out!) playing a desperate pretentious modern actor - I'm slightly concerned I relate!
Although it may not quite have the stamina to exceed at a higher level, The film does capture a good representaion of standard nottingham life, and has a nice dry sense of humour.
