Email Address re distribuion idea

Hello one and all, for this is my first post here.

Those regular members will probably be sick of getting asked this question but here goes anyways - does anyone have Shanes email address that they can give me...?

Tiring, I'm sure...

The reason I ask is because I was at the Q&A session with Shane and his Le Donk producer pal this afternoon at the Edinburgh Film Festival. He was talking about how the whole making of Le Donk has been completely punk rock, doing it for themselves etc etc etc as I'm sure everyone here already knows. He was talking about how they can get the film out to the people like you and me without putting it through the usual system of distributors, which seems like quite a task.

I have an idea. I would to share this idea with Shane via the medium of email as I'm too pussy to have actually gone up to speak to him following the Q&A even though he does seem like a totally totally PROPER nice bloke.




If anyone has his email address and would like to private message me it or email it to me then please do so. I feel I must say that, funnily enough for someone who was at his Q&A this afternoon, I don't actually believe I've seen any of Shanes films. I was at the Q&A because I'm soon to be jacking in my job to go to Stevenson College in Edinburgh to do a full time TV/film making course after doing an evening class in video production last year and absolutely LOVING it! So yeah, I'm totally getting as much out of the Edinburgh International Film Festival as I can, seeing loads and loads of films, going to lots of directors talks - have been at the Sam Mendes one, Darron Aronofsky, Morag Ross (Hollywood A-lister make up artist) and will be going to the Joe Dante one later in the week.

Now having said all that, it might ACTUALLY be worth me posting my idea up on here and then have one of the Powers That Be possibly forward on my idea, if they are indeed able to. Because it involves YOU. YOU the fan.

I think the general rule of thumb as far as the forum goes is to just post the idea up here. Shane will probably see it. There's bound to be people on here who have his email address, but I doubt they'll pass it on. You should've approached him afterwards, mate. Sounded like they're open to any and all suggestions as far as distribution goes. Personally, I think the Church Hall Party Tour sounds brilliant, but they'd probably prefer being able to show it in more than one place at a time.

Post the idea here Pete. And when you do get around to seeing Shane's films, be sure to watch 'Tank's top tips' on the OUTIM extras. Tank'll help you overcome your shyness/reticence for sure
