And also that I've just watched 'This Is England' again - honest... Can I ask - Shane... in light of this - can I wash yer car for a fiver? There - said it now - AND I expect... nay... I DEMAND a reply - I'm dedicated... I'm a fan... I'm a crawler (if need be) AND I'm good at washing cars... won't leave any suds I promise. In fact - I'm that decent, I'll do it for £4.50 - can't say fairer than that chief! Sorry folks - can't help it... all these spammers, mitherers and pseudo 'Yosser Hugheses' have just got me laughing my *rse of here. Gawd, when my missus comes home and finds me *rseless, she'll want to know what's going on! N. P.S. Shane... one thing though... I'll need petrol money to get to your gaff... I reckon it'll come to about £26 - hope that's okay!

Dave, I've been reading your posts a lot and enjoying them. I pictured you literally as the man in your avatar photo. But, I know that's not you is it? May you kindly tell me who it is though, I know I've seen the ventriliquist somewhere but I'm not sure where.

May you kindly tell me who it is though, I know I've seen the ventriliquist somewhere but I'm not sure where. Glad you like reading my posts. Have you watched any of my 'amusing' short films on YouTube? You may enjoy them (any chance to plug my wares, and I'll gladly take it!). My avatar picture is taken from the Canadian sitcom Trailer Park Boys. The character is called Bubbles and the puppet is his demented puppet Conky! The puppet only features in one episode though. Check out Trailer Park Boys! Tis great!

I might have to do another 500 of these to take it up to 1000 posts... I reckon that's how it'll work - be a bit like 'Clubcard' points at Tesco: 250 Posts - Shane will read your script. 500 Posts - Shane will let ye wash his car or peel his spuds. 750 Posts - Shane will let you play pool with him at a pub of your choice for a period of time not exceeding 1 hour. 1000 Posts - Shane will invite you round to his house for a curry! Now - I'll give the 750 points one a miss - I'm cr*p at pool - can I 'bank' them points instead? N. As for the 1000 - as long as the curry's veggie, then I'll be happy!

Congrats on the milestone post, Chewbaxter. ;D Your spoof "begging posts" never fail to crack me up! Careful there... you may be promoting a negative behavioual pattern by your encouragement, and I'll keep doing these! Apologies - maybe it's because of my job (Psychiatric Nurse) that I analyse the cr*p out of everything I do and then add a 'slant' to it... Seriously though - any laughs that you get from my stuff make me chuffed... I told my Mam that I always wanted to be a comedian - she laughed, as did others... They're not laughing now though! N.

Thanks Dave, I've had a look just now but will do more at your films and stuff. They look really well done. You've a skill with the writing clearly, good camerawork too.
Is Trailer Boys available to watch in the UK? I've never heard of it.

Hmm... very true - I think I'll jack in the 'parody threads' from now on - I'm at risk of 'art imitating life' here - or at least vice versa! N.

Is Trailer Boys available to watch in the UK? I've never heard of it. I think Trailer Park Boys was on Paramount Comedy channel.... I first watched it via the gift of the internet naughtiness... I have since purchased the DVDs though! Weirdly, the DVDs are only available from HMV in the UK. Currently you can only get 2 DVD sets. Season 1+2 in one box, and seasons 3+4 in one box. There have been seven seasons altogether... and a film!

Whats weird about HMV paying for exclusive rights to to retail a show/film that it considers worthy. Id be very happy that someone thought TPB was in this special club!

Maybe it happens all the time, but I've just never noticed a TV show or film only being sold by one type of store.... ....any new on season 5+6 release?

HMV gets a few things in as exclusives, at least for a while. Tends to be niche audience stuff. The first two DVDs I bought (this was September 2001) were Highlander and Highlander 4. The latter was HMV exclusive at the time, though I've seen it elsewhere over the years.
