Hey everyone,
I'm a long time Shane Meadows fan but a newbie to the site, hopefully I'll be able to contribute and meet some great new filmmakers through this forum!
I've only been writing for about 3 months but am quickly falling in love with the whole process of making independant films - this is definitely what I want to be doing. I will eventually be looking to write/direct my own work after gaining some experience working on other peoples projects.
Steve

Cheers Gary, I mainly have just short-shorts but have an almost completed domestic violence script and I'm about 40% through a Shane Meadows inspired short based loosly on some childhood experiences called 'North Street'. I can email you some of my work though if you want to pass on some comments/advice? I sometimes use dropbox but as the scripts are in the middle of being tweaked I'd rather just email a small number of people to give them the once over.

Hi I'm new aswell. Been manically watching the films recently, I watched 'Once Upon A Time In The Midlands' last night with my mum. It was very funny. Filmphreak (Steve), your script sounds quite interesting, would I be able to read some of it? Rose

Hey Rose, if you PM me with your email I am more than happy to let you read some of my micro-shorts. I'll post a version of 'North Street' once it's got more weight to it (it's my first serious attempt so want to get it right)

thanks Meadows Maniac. I've just been at a house warming party and a couple of older men were talking like Morell from ARFRB..was a bit freaked.
