Just got Small time on VHS And wanted to say OH MY GOD what a film! I cant believe how good this is and how difficult it is to get a hold of. I am even begining to think this is a rival to Romeo brass as my favorite shane film and I fucking love romeo brass. I am so impressed and didnt realise Shane was such a good actor. only really seen him as chip shop man, male nurse and Tank Bullock before and even though Tank is a wicked part Jumbo takes the biscuit easily on par with Morell. Cant begin to recommend this enough.

Yes indeed! How cool is Smalltime?!
I particularly love it because it is jam packed full of dialogue (more than Shane's other films I reckon), and that is probably my favourite aspect of Shane's films.
"He's a good driver... he's got his provisional liscence and everything" "Anyone can have a fu**ing provisional liscence!" "No, that's where you're wrong... cos you have to be over 17 don't you"

Yeah, you know when you see one of them films thats so good you want to tell the whole world...well its one of them. I know im singing its praises about ten years too late but better late than than never eh. Yep its all about dialogue used to perfection every line is perfectly imperfect and so natural yet funny. How many copies were made? just wondering how rare my newly aquired copy realy is. Cant rate this enough, praise due (all is forgiven for once upon a time)
Shane: I'd get back in front of the camera again soon as you can mate, you can act dude!

As you are a new member I'll recap for you benefit. Small time is not avaliable on DVD and is as rare as rocking horse shit to get on VHS it is sold on Amazon and ebay but can go for anything upwards fro £20. Its worth every penny but everyone else will have to wait a long while for it to come out on DVD (if it ever does!)

I must say I watched this again last nite for the first time in months and It is sooooo good. I heavent seen naturalistic acting this good before or since this film and I cant stress how much I would like to see Shane act again (follow up of Small time would be great)
Dave: Do you know what happened to the rest of the cast? I've not seen any of them again in anything else (or did I see Matt Hand in 24/7). I know shane has his team of folks he uses often in his flicks (Paddy,Jo,Frank,Shimmy,Nadine ect) but that lot froom Small time seem to have been left out. whats the crack? can Shane shed any light?
