Firstly I'd like to say; LOVED the film. Big laughs, lots of fun. However, the only thing that baffled me (as an aspiring film maker and screen writer) is why Shane Meadows would be making a film about Le Donk in the first place. Just wondering. Jamie x

It's not meant to be about a famous person. Le Donk's achingly human. That makes him an excellent character upon which to base a documentary.
Often, the most fascinating subjects are what most would consider unlikely. Take Rocky Gervais's David Brent in The Office, for example. Unlikely documentary focus? Sure. But that comedy series is also done is a documentary style, and every cringe-inducing moment is gold.
There are many gems to be found in stalking Joe Everyman.
