As the thread title say's it all, the most sublime shot i've ever seen in a film is when Darcy places his hand print over the shop girl's. I cryed last night and the Mrs told me to stop being a soft shite! Oh! The more snsitive guy huh?

what with that and the quote about dancing with his aunty is like a blanket to hide his loneliness. emotional stuff and the best that bob hoskins has ever been in my opinion

Bob was amazing on 24/7 he gave everything he had on that shoot. I too believe it is one of his fiinest pieces of work. Without him, I would still be making shorts in Sneinton.

Did you get him to do any Harold Shand for you Shane?, I know I wouldn't be able to resist if I met the man. Good on him for supporting you though, I remember seeing him on TFI Friday I think? bigging you up just before the release of Twenty Four Seven. Not enough actors in this country encourage film making by homegrowns, I showed a short to a certain RSC actor who visited our college about 10 years ago, and his one comment was " Amateurish." Probably was but at least I was and I still am having a go.

Cheers bud! You know what I mean, still up here in the Lake District it's hard to get actors. It's just me and my mates, no workshops or anything exist. So if the acting is ametuerish it's just becuse we are finding our feet, as we are with editing etc...And I may be prejudiced but the local Am Dram are just a load of middle aged men going through a mid life crises. On second thoughts why don't I recruit them and act against them? Nah! They would'nt fit in well with the Poker film I've got planned this weekend...Or maybe they would?

The most sublime for me is to see les Battersby get battered by the bloke off the BT ad. Britain has a stack of homegrown talent, if you sit down and think about it. Trouble is they seem to think they have to reloacate to LA to further their careers. Let the mountain come to Mohammed.
