The only problem is that I've only had experience in plays.

That doesn't matter, people have to start out somewhere.
There are two books, Contacts 2011:

They're he books to have...then it's just a case of doing what i have done, sending a C.V, photo and Covering Letter to as many agents as possible that are listed in these two books. It's a long process, but it's not going to happen at the drop of a hat, but if you really want it, then how long it will take doesn't matter!

There are various websites for this, such as universal extras, starnow, or indervidual companies such as Mad Dog Casting, lemon Casting or Celex Casting.
