Just watched 24/7 and as has become a habit of late I then listened to the commentary that is on the DVD extras. Has to be the laziest one I have ever heard lol. I enjoyed the film though as I have done so with all the Shane Meadows films I have seen so far. Only discovered this English talent that is Shane Meadows recently when I caught Dead Man's Shoes a couple of months ago on film four. I went out and purchased it the next day. Since then I have added Romeo Brass and now 24/7 to the collection. I did see Once upon a time in the Midlands but have not bought that film yet. Looking forward to the new movie also. Any other films by Meadows that anyone can reccommend would be appreciated. Keep up the good work fella.

seems like you've seen 'em all mate! apart from his shorts of course. I dunno where you live, but if you could get hold of the Once Upon A Time In The Midlands double disc DVD it has Shane's World on it which includes a few of his shorts and some short funny bits, and top tips from Tank Bullock, which is hilarious. eerm and you should be able to see some shorts on the shane's world website. www.channel4.com/film/makingmovies/microsites/S/shanes_world/shaneWorld_homepage.jsp

Had a relisten to the commentary recently on my daily commutes.
I had forgotten plenty of the interesting info that is mentioned... Especially that there was a scene in which Shane played a taxi driver taking a cople of the lads to the boxing club... On the way, the drivernhears the lottery numbers on the radio, realises he's won, and just abondons the car in his excitement. The lads decide to drive the taxi the rest of the way themselves and get pulled over by the police. Darcy has to come down to the station to sort it all out.
I had also forgotten the sheer amount of crisps that Paul Fraser seems to get through! Ha
On this commentary and the Romeo Brass one Shane mentions that they are filming themselves as they talk... And they hope that they are going to be on screen in a picture-in-picture kind of way. I wonder if that footage still exists.... I need to know what variety of crisps are being scoffed once and for all!
