right i've always wondered this but is bob hoskins character based around naish?
he used to come in my old mans pub (the roebuck) and my mate lived on sunny side road near where he once lived. he was always trying to get us into his Oasis football team or manage my band.
in the quaint market town/epicenter of boredom he really is a much needed character.

There is more than a nod to Naish mate. Me and Fraser were in the Oasis Football team you speak of. Fraser was the goalie and I was just wank. I remember him setting up a match with a local prison after we got banned from the league and we were about 17-0 down at half time, so I decided 'Frigg this for a game of soldiers' and decided that I would just shoot one at my own goalkeeper (Fraser) and the bastard saved it. I did it again near the end and he stopped that one as well! Crap team but Great Days. ;D

I saw him the other Saturday in a local Kebab shop with me dad. He was in amazing form and was actually wearing 2 old 'Oasis FC' players shirts. I asked him if I could maybe get one of him sometime, for old times sakes and he just stripped off there and then and gave me one. I love Naishy!

You'd think naish is the kind of bloke to give you the shirt off his back.....and it seems you now have proof....
I saw him on good friday outside boots on the high street talking to about 12 lads on bikes.....basically telling them to get on the straight and narrow with him....
The man's a legend....rare, but a legend.....

Thats great that the charecter in 24/7 has some real life basis on someone that sounds like a top fella and has had an influence on what sounds like so many young people.

Haha, Naish is always trying to get me into Oasis FC!
If you go into Uttoxeter town centre you would almost definitely see Naish! He walks around in shorts, a bandana round his head, with an Oasis FC or Wolverhampton Wanderers shirt.
I'm actually looking for him today, I owe him £3 and I have it with me.
