The film that hooked me in. Wonderful. If you've not seen it, stop reading, find it and watch it before anybody tells you anything about it. I discovered it late one night in Southport of all places. I'd taken the girlfriend away for a few days, (only the best for my girl like ) and had been left up in the early hours of a Saturday night with only the TV for company (she was asleep you understand, not on the arcades) Settled down to A Room For Romeo Brass, a film I had heard of but knew little about, and spent the next hour and a half enthralled. To spend the first half of the film stiffling laughs so as not to wake her up but then wanting to wake her up at the end just to talk to someone about what I'd seen was great and it had been a long time since I had felt like that about a film. Went out the following day and tracked down the dvd and made me mum and dad watch it on returning home. First time since 9 1/2 Weeks that they had'nt both fallen asleep watching a film. The proofs in the pudding.

It was an in joke involving somebody who will probably never read this. A little embarrassing looking back on it now. Should have gone with my original thread name of:
"MISERY"

LOL my mate will understand... ;D He used to quote it all the time when he was drunk, now he's married with a kid. "Touch it!"

;D
If I had a pound for every time I'd heard "Touch it" from my mates over the past few weeks I'd be rich.

With regards to my prior post I would like to state that my friends are fans of the film too. They do not in any way demand that I actually 'touch it'.
One has also memorised the 'One beat, two beat...' poem. I'm starting to think that might be going a little too far.

At least you have'nt bought a combat jacket yet! The piss that's been taken out of me is beyond a joke now ;D I just reminded one of my friends that he use to have a shell suit exactly like Morrell's SPX one, that shut the ba**ard up!

My band have attracted a lot of stick for wearing visors sometimes when we play live. This is'nt because of Morell but unnervingly means we must share some of the same mindspace as him.
I however draw the line at gasmasks.

The same "mate" used to make us do "ninja" excersises and hit us with a stick when we stopoed! I'm sure there's a short in there somewhere Minus the shell suit of course, it's been done ;D

Christ, I'd watch that mate of yours. He sounds unstable. ;D
Having said that, practice makes perfect so really he was doing you a favour AND you were learning a new skill, so......

Oooh I don't know. Seagal straddles both stratospheres does'nt he. Have you SEEN 'Hard to Kill'!?!? I do like the idea of a trained ninja who can somehow nurse you back to health after a good pasting though. There could be a future for you. Have we strayed from the thread somewhat, I hope these posts have'nt disappeared when I come back tomorrow.

Yes we've strayed...hell! Romeo does spark some great conversations! That's why i've mentioned the above because it took me back to a time in my life when a mate became a pain rather then a laugh, a time when I had to say F*ck You! The tables are turned now which I think is a theme in all of Shane's work...I'm rambling now it's been a long shift.

What was the deal with the y-fronts? A strange image to use to advertise the film.
