In praise of '86 (spoilers)

I just finished watching the last part of This Is England 86 and
had to pipe up and say how much it moved and shocked and
impressed in equal measure. The performances were amazing
throughout. This is Bafta country.
I had many problems with my father (nothing sexual, I'm lucky
to say) and was thinking of trying to write something about it
but it's too late, the standard's been set too high. '86 told a
very difficult story without steaming into bathos and left so
much unanswered - just as it does in reality.
Apart from the original film the only other Meadows I've seen is
Le Donk which had me pissing myself throughout. Guy's a genius.
