I would personally love to see a final instalment of this fantastic series...set against the backdrop of England 1990, with Maggie Thatcher being ousted, Madchester and the summer of love creeping in, and the Italia 90 world cup. It would be good to see how Lol has coped with killing her dad, how everyone ha moved on and how their lives have progressed.
Anyone else agree?

The cast moved from Nott'm to Sheffield so anything is possible.
I think there just based in "A Northern City" it could be anywhere.

How the hell are they gonna transport the cast to Manchester? Only Gadget has any Manc credentials sure, manchester kicked it all off but come 89 /90 some of the more famous clubs were not in manchester. cant quite remember them exactly, my life was a bit fuzzy back then, entripper ( spelling ) was in the midlands, coventry i think though there was another big name club in the midlands that i cant remember what it was called that i may be getting mixed up with. angels in burnley was a major player , wales was good too. the not famous calton studios in edinburgh was my local haunt. it was kicking off everywhere so, im sure wherever T.I.E is set a little digging will throw up all the past clubs in the area. yes manchester was great but, by 90 the whole country was bouncing every weekend. |

Ravers from the midlands used to drive up to Manchester and all over the country at the time. Sandbach Services was a hotbed of pilled-up youths of a weekend morning.

I want to know if the Christmas Special is going to be before or after TIE'90? I'd think before, because Shane's hinted that the gang will fall apart after TIE'90 and there might even be one or two deaths. I am really intrigued by this notion. I think I'd rather it be bittersweet than harrowing. I'd maybe like to see Lol visiting Combo in prison, Gadget getting together with Kelly and lots of gang interaction.  Would we see some of the common tropes such as a wedding, birth, ruined Christmas dinner... or Meggy or Banjo being Father Christmas.  |

"Entropy"? That was in Stoke, but as memory serves it didn't really get going until '91-92. Shelley's was the place to go in the Potteries circa 1990 - now that really was a notorious den of hedonism/iniquity, depending on how you look back on it.... |

Yeah, memory definitely vague, but what I recall most vividly about Shelley's (a "LAZERDOME", no less!) was always having to step over bodies in the toilets. This was before people understood about pills/dehydration (and, indeed, a time when bottled water was for ponces ONLY). It was also a time before certain white powders had been "democratized", but the toilet cubicles were always locked.......containing as they did amorous couples engaged in more - ahem - democratic pursuits. Shelley's is/was all of 20 minutes from Utcheter, so I imagine that Shane was a sweaty hedonist at the Lazerdome least once or twice. Given the tendency for Meadows characters' bowels to move at inopportune moments, I wonder how this will be incorporated into the inevitable club scenes in "TiE '90"?? |

I do like a bit of cheer at Christmas though... along with a few tears. Well... I think I may have cried at The Snowman as a kid.  |
