Nebie with abusted PS3!

Hi all,
Hope someone can help, have had my PS3 160gb for 2 years and only used it lightly no 10 hour gaming stints, but on Sunday it would not load any discs, in fact the drive is not spining, I have googled myself silly over the past couple of days and dismantled the unit and its either the laser or the blue ray drive, I have found a few options on ebay and just wondered if anyone in tamworth has a drive to try/ sell before I commit to an ebay item? the blue ray laser and chassis number is KEM 410CCA 2 It is the two laser one, I believe the same as an 80gb one??? Any help greatly appreciated, I have the cash waiting to fix this.

Forgot to mention, the on screen icon is rotating but nothing happens, also I can insert and eject discs no problem, I can also access the HDD and all saved data etc.

Yeah.. sounds like the blur-ray drive is busted.

My old PS3 broke down, but it was a different issue, so I can't really help.
