Hooray, I got my DVD on Saturday. Thanks Mr Amazon.
So far I've just watched the extras.... I wish there were more.. but then I always do! ;D
So, the deleted scenes! I thought they were all pretty ace. The scene with Kayvan Novak (I think that's his name... Fonejacker, Four Lions) is totally odd. The humour turns quite surreal in the scene, which I really liked, but I can see that it maybe didn't fit in the finished programme. The whole bee bit really cracked me up because it was so odd. This scene is featured in the out-takes too. ;D
Then there's the brilliant scene of Shaun bringing up the fact to Milky that they haven't really spoken since the whole Combo incident. It's a great scene, and nicely fills in one of the gaps that a lot of people wanted to see addressed in the finished series. I wonder why it was taken out? It looks like the scene takes place at Carrot Bum's party.
The only other deleted scene I currently remember (there aren't may though), is Shane's own cameo. Shane is one of Woody's previous co-workers (now staff), so I guess Shane was visible in some shots in the finished series. I didn't spot him though. Shane's still got his acting chops! It's a good scene. I really wanted to see Woody having to confront his one-time equals in his new position of power, but sadly it didn't end up in the finished series.

Yeah, I watched some of the extras last night. I really liked the Shaun/Milky one and the Shane/Woody one was great as well. I do sort of wish there had been room to include those - especially the Shaun/Milky one.
Some of the commentary was interesting too. It confirmed that Harvey was originally written as Pukey. I had wondered if that was the case.

I really wish the Milky/Shaun scene was left in the show. It would have been nice to see it in just for Milky's 'could not give a damn about the past attitude.'
And the Shane/Woody one was a nice scene showing Woody struggling to come to terms with who is he now as opposed to who he was.

I just watched TIE 86 through. Literally just watched the deleted scenes and outtakes.
I loved the scene between Milky and Shaun. I really wish it had been left in. But I suppose it was at odds with vibe of the scene, being all happy partying and all. And the fact that the main plot line is between Woody and Lol.
The bee stuff was bizarrely great. But can definitely see why it wasn't left in.
Shane's cameo scene is great too, Woody's character shines as he tries his best at his job, but immediately feels bad for being a bit of a dick.

"A bumble bee...is he yours? I saw a bumble bee the other day, he looked...sad."
That whole scene made me laugh so much but I can see why it was deleted, it was very strange.

Yeah, that scene is hilarious. Doesn't match the tone of the series though, so it definitely made sense to leave it out. It would be cool to see Kayvan Novak in TIE88 or 90!
