I'm pretty certain that this has been asked before but despite delving through a fair amount of the TIE threads I've only found a wee mention of Gadge's drug induced utterance.
What is a chocolate bassline and who came up with the line?
I watched this fine film again last night and managed to distract the wife from preparing lessons and writing reports for her school kids. It'd be funny if something TIE has crept into the lessons/reports; maybe the parents would appreciate it? Anyway, she loved the film apart from the Combo/Milky scene at the end; much like the 'scene' from TIE86 she just couldn't bring herself to watch it.
I ended up watching the film again with the insightful and hilarious commentary on, much to the annoyance of my frustrated and again distracted wife. "So it's based on this Shaun Meadows as a kid?".
I'm thinking I shouldn't have watched the film twice because as a result, my overactive imagination produced a dream about Gadge (not that kind of dream I'm sure he'd be pleased to hear) and my failure to film him for something. I've no idea idea. Anyway I've rambled on too much... what is a chocolate bassline?

Hello clayman, the chocolate baseline, line was something either me or Shane made up I can't really remember who now but i do remember that a lot of that scenes phrases where coined after a waggamamma meal with Shane. There's a chicken man line that I don't think made it to the film (a reference to the awesome wagger special chicken chilli men) and the "sit shmitzy sit" lines are references to gadgets dog which he'd lost (you can see muggy resting a beer can on his taxadermied corpse in the party scene where combo returns) the chocolate baseline was probably the mad rambles of gadget being high and hungry. Hope this answers your query pal and I'm sorry I haunt you nightmares hehe!

Cheers for that Gadge. It's very decent of you to respond. I'll keep an eye out for the dog next time I watch TIE. (It's not the one they use in the F.R.A.N.K. adverts is it?) Didn't Shane also mention on the commentary about a fish bowl/sink scene that they didn't use? Was that your character?
I've never had the pleasure of a waggamamma meal but I'll be sure to have a look next time I'm out and about in Liverpool City Centre. It'll certainly be an interesting conversation piece I'm sure.
Nice hair style in TIE86 by the way mate, though it was probably relatively normal compared to some of your fellow cast members extreme barnets. In fact I thought it bore a resemblance to Bernie Nesbitt's hair from Rab C. Nesbitt, not to offend you of course.
Are you working on owt else? Good luck anyway.
