Hi, I am currently putting together a project on father figures in different British 'social realism' films. For this project i need some Primary Research. I am looking for any members who were brought up by a single parent, but obviously i would be extremely grateful for any ones help.
I would like to know if you believe Shane Meadows portrays how a child looks for a father figure within life realistically? Myself, I have never known my father, but i have a 'Dad' (mothers husband, been there since i was very young.) I do think that when i was younger I looked up to him, I took on his taste of music (I think i was the only kid at school who loved 'James' and 'The Smiths'), I started to play football, was the only girl on the team and I wanted to be just like him.
I would love to hear any experiences and stories about the father figure in your life, whether its a step-dad or a grandparent, or anyone! and if you can relate any way to the relationship of Sean and Combo.
If you feel it is a personally subject feel free to email me at Francesca.rose@hotmail.co.uk
thank you so much!
